This week at Cromwell has been a great experience to be able to see the work that past architects have done for the firm. Looking at all these blueprints (some dating back to 1934!), I am able to see how architectural drawings have developed within the past century or so. Tackling "Document Mountain" is really helping me understand the processes that go into making a building work. While Hannah and I were going through the files at the beginning of the week, we saw that many of them had the layouts for pluming and electrical work. We got a little worried, because we thought that wasn't what we were signing up for. We asked Clint about it and he said that the engineers also put what they do into the files to keep it together, and unless the architect is working on something small, they leave that work to the engineers. I am glad that this week has worked out really well, and I am looking forward to the future I have at Cromwell.
