While I was in the Noble 301 training camp (this allows those in the class to get an understanding of how to contact the professional world), Mr. Whitley came and presented the main project that I would be helping with.
Last year I signed up for a class called Noble 301, where throughout your senior year, you can contact someone who you would like to apprentice under to learn a hard skill. I was interested in architecture, and looked at many architecture firms around the downtown Little Rock area, and narrowed it down to one that I knew was credible. So I contacted Clint Whitley at Cromwell Architects and Engineers at the end of my junior year of high school. We had a meeting together at the firm and Mr. Whitley told me the things that are expected of me and some of the things I will be working on while I am apprenticing at Cromwell. He gave me a tour of the office and introduced me to many people who, he explained, have to come together to make a building work. Mr. Whitley met with my Noble 301 teacher and they then decided when I would start and what will happen during my apprenticeship.
